GENERAL PURPOSE

 

Reporting to the Deputy Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Director of Transportation Services is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students of Stafford County Public Schools (“Stafford Schools”) riding school buses to and from school and school-sponsored activities. This individual will supervise all aspects of the Department of Transportation Services (“Department”), oversee a comprehensive program to recruit and retain a qualified corps of drivers and bus attendants, and ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and School Board-approved laws, policies, regulations, and guidelines as they impact student transportation. The successful Executive Director will ensure that student transportation provides consistent service that enables students’ full participation in educational and extracurricular activities and that the School Division makes informed decisions on policies and decisions regarding student transportation.
